Georgia Mental-Health Support: 988, GCAL and Coverage. Practical questions, official sources and treatment-specific safety guidance for Georgia residents.
Immediate support through 988
From Georgia, calls, texts and chats to 988 are answered by trained counselors with the Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL), available 24/7. You can also call GCAL directly at 1-800-715-4225. For an immediate medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Our directory and inquiry forms are not emergency services.
Finding behavioral-health services
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities describes its statewide crisis system, which includes phone support, mobile crisis response and help connecting to services and urgent appointments. Care navigation is separate from emergency response and does not establish ketamine availability, eligibility or insurance coverage.
Georgia Medicaid and Pathways access
The Georgia Department of Community Health publishes information on Georgia Pathways to Coverage and on mental-health parity for Medicaid and Pathways members. Members should confirm covered behavioral-health services with their plan and clinician. General behavioral-health coverage is not a promise that a particular ketamine treatment is covered.
Considering specialized treatment
Ask a qualified clinician about established treatments and the risks, evidence and monitoring for any proposed ketamine or esketamine option. A directory listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee of access. Our Georgia resource page and town guides provide sources and practical access questions.
