What patients say on Google

“I initially chose this practice because of the positive reviews and insurance acceptance, but unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing and concerning. From the beginning, there were issues with scheduling and communication. Appointment times would change without notifying me, and scheduling problems became a recurring frustration. However, I continued giving the practice a chance because my daughter’s mental health was my priority. My daughter initially saw a male provider who seemed dismissive of her mental health concerns. We were later switched to Dr. Dolores, who made a great first impression. I was so pleased with our initial experience that I even became her patient myself. Unfortunately, every appointment afterward felt rushed, often lasting barely 10 minutes. It began to feel like medication management without anyone genuinely listening. When we first started seeing Dr. Dolores, my daughter was taking 100 mg of Zoloft. Dr. Dolores reduced it to 50 mg and added Abilify. This combination seemed to work extremely well, and my daughter showed significant improvement. I specifically communicated how well she was doing at our follow-up appointment. Despite this, Dr. Dolores decided to reduce her Zoloft AGAIN, from 50 mg to just 25 mg, all within a relatively short period. Shortly afterward, I noticed my daughter’s depression returning, and she began self-harming. I immediately contacted Dr. Dolores, explained my concerns about the medication changes, and suggested returning to the 50 mg dosage that had been working. Instead, my concerns felt dismissed, and Seroquel was prescribed. Approximately two weeks later, my daughter attempted suicide and was hospitalized. I contacted Dr. Dolores to inform her of what had happened and explained that the hospital had decided to increase my daughter’s Zoloft back to 50 mg, the exact adjustment I had previously suggested and she had declined. Her response was simply, “Okay, that’s fine.” I was honestly taken aback by the lack of empathy or acknowledgment of the seriousness of the situation. My daughter had just attempted to take her own life, and the conversation felt like nothing more than a routine medication update. The hospital also advised me to find a different psychiatrist before my daughter’s discharge. I scheduled with Dr. Judith at the same practice, but even after explaining everything, I felt more defensiveness toward Dr. Dolores than genuine concern for my daughter’s situation. On the day of our appointment, we waited nearly 30 minutes without Dr. Judith appearing. I contacted two different office numbers trying to get an update. One person stopped responding, while the other simply stated that she was with another patient. Eventually, I could no longer wait and canceled the appointment along with all future appointments. Scheduling and communication had been ongoing problems with this practice, but given the severity of what my daughter had just experienced, I genuinely expected more care, urgency, and consideration. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I understand that psychiatric treatment can involve trial and error, and I am not claiming that every outcome can be predicted or prevented. However, I do believe my concerns about my daughter’s declining mental health deserved more attention, particularly after such significant medication changes. As a parent, I trusted these professionals with my child’s mental health during an extremely vulnerable time. Instead, I repeatedly felt unheard, dismissed, and disappointed by the lack of compassion and communication. I have completely lost trust in this practice and would not recommend it based on our experience. When treating patients struggling with depression, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts, empathy, attentiveness, and communication should be the bare minimum.”

“I originally found “Dr” Judith as a virtual provider through my insurance. The first virtual visit was on-time and I felt as though she and I were immediately able to connect and she offered a reasonable, mutually acceptable “game plan” that would help with my anxiety as I was struggling with a family crisis. After that first visit, everything went downhill quickly. She was late to every single virtual session after that. Some times I would have to wait on her up to 45 minutes past our scheduled appointment time for her to join. Then I received a rushed phone call for medication management and she billed my insurance for an entire hour session! I made the horrid mistake of connecting my daughter, who was in her late teens, with Judith with the expectation that she could help my daughter with her crippling anxiety due to the same family crisis that I was in at the time. Immediately my daughter began to experience the same scheduling issues as I was having. Late to every session and then billing my insurance for an entire hour. Sometimes, Judith would not joint a session at all with 0 explanation or communication from her office. Two points that I need to make clear: A- Judith dismissed me from Her practice with ZERO follow-up care. This was after she had been seeing monthly for nearly a year. Her excuse was that because I was under the care of pain management due to a work accident, she no longer felt comfortable prescribing Celexa and Buspar??? My intake forms CLEARLY STATED my current condition, medication and the Doctor that was treating my injury. This has been reported to the state as it’s ILLEGAL in Georgia to dismiss a patient without offering follow-up/continued treatment options. I 10000% believe that she dismissed me because I was becoming frustrating to her scheduling AND billing departments when she would no call/no show or show up 45 minute late and then try to bill for a whole hour. I started to make disputes with my insurance and then suddenly, I was dismissed? B- She over prescribed my daughter Wellbutrin for severe anxiety. We did not know this until I found her a new provider. Wellbutrin is typically prescribed for ADHD, which she does not have and has never had. Judith had her on 450 mg every day and her anxiety was getting worse! Instead of re-addressing why the Wellbutrin wasn’t working, she just added ANOTHER medication to her regimen. One of the biggest side effects from such high doses of Wellbutrin is weight gain and it was made clear from the beginning that my daughter had previously been diagnosed with ED and that body dysmorphia was a major concern. Our new provider has advised that the dosing and medications prescribed vs her diagnosis and medical history was reckless and she, too, has reported Judith to the state of Georgia. Please be aware before seeking mental health treatment or support from Judith at Mind, body and Soul. The mishandling of patient care and medications is alarming and dangerous!!”

“My son has been a patient of Dr. Judith's for about three years and it has always been a pleasure. However, the booking process follow up and communication is TERRIBLE. I have scheduled my next appointment and it has gone missed (no appointment email and no follow up). Waiting on the virtual link for up to 45 minutes waiting on the Doctor. Continuously, communicating with Asia but nothing gets done. There is no sense or urgency for patients and no concern for their overall experience. As a black woman with a black child that sees her this saddens me, because I want to stick with black providers. But this is unacceptable! DO BETTER!”

“I cannot say enough positive things about MindBodySoul Mental Health & Family Practice. From the very beginning, they treated me with professionalism, compassion, and genuine respect as a veteran. The staff was extremely veteran-friendly and made me feel heard throughout the entire process. Their examinations were very thorough, detailed, and professional. They took the time to carefully review my medical history, listen to my concerns, and properly complete my DBQs and Nexus Letters with great attention to detail. I never felt rushed or overlooked. What stood out most was their willingness to advocate for veterans and ensure that documentation was complete, accurate, and medically supported. They truly understand the importance of these evaluations and how much they mean to veterans and their families. If you are a veteran looking for a facility that is knowledgeable, caring, professional, and thorough, I highly recommend MindBodySoul Mental Health & Family Practice. Their dedication and professionalism made a stressful process much easier. Thank you all for the outstanding care and support”
